It’s Playoffs Time!

Berkner, Lake Highlands and Richardson High Schools all won their round 1 games on Friday, November 14, to become Bi-District Champions!  Richardson HS beat Haltom HS 35-7.  Lake Highlands HS won in a thriller, 43-36 over South Grand Prairie HS. Berkner HS won 30-28, defeating Arlington Bowie HS.

Round 2 Games

  • Richardson HS (Visitors) will play Coppell HS
  • Lake Highlands HS (Visitors) will play Allen HS
    • Friday, November 21 at McKinney ISD Stadium at 7pm.

Monday, November 10

Three RISD teams are headed to the Texas UIL football playoffs after a fantastic season. Richardson High School and Lake Highlands High School have clinched the Co-District Championships. Richardson won the tiebreaker in a historic match-up against Lake Highlands and will be the overall #1 seed for District 7-6A and the #1 seed in Division 1. Lake Highlands will be the #2 seed in Division 1. Berkner High School also clinched a playoff spot by finishing in the 4th place, after defeating Pearce High School in Week 10 and will be the #2 seed in Division 2.

Former Liberty Junior High student Dr. Carrie Greer will return to her alma mater as principal and Crystal Kemp, current Associate Principal at Berkner High School STEM Academy, will step into a principal position at Forest Meadow Middle School beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.
