Parent Messages in Focus

Did you know that RISD teachers and other employees can use Focus to send messages to parents about their student?

Messages about progress reports, health screenings, class activities, and more are potential topics that a parent may receive a message about through their Focus parent account. All RISD parents are encouraged to create and periodically monitor their Focus account for information about their student. In addition to messages, Focus allows parents to review their child’s grades, attendance, and more.

When a message is sent through Focus, a parent should receive an email alert notifying them of the message, and the message is also archived in Focus. Please note that for several weeks late this semester, some messages sent through Focus did not include an email alert, so parents who have not logged into Focus recently are encouraged to login to ensure they did not miss any messages about their student.
