Parent university Richardson ISD

Please join us for “Celebrating Autism: Strengths, Growth, and Summer Success” on April 30, 2026, at 6:00 pm. This Parent University session shifts the focus to honoring our students’ unique neurodiversity while preparing for a fun, structured, and successful summer break.

 What to Expect:

  • Celebrating the Spectrum: Explore ways to identify and lean into your child’s unique strengths and interests to build self-esteem and identity.
  • The “Summer Slide” vs. Summer Success: Understand how to maintain routine and skill-building during the school hiatus without losing the “fun” of vacation.
  • Community & Recreation: An introduction to autism-friendly summer choice boards, sensory-safe local events, and inclusive community resources.
  • Travel & Outings: Practical tips and “on-the-go” toolkits for successful family trips, park visits, and pool days.

Empower Your Summer

Equip yourself with strategies to turn the summer months into a season of growth and joy. Attend this session to gain the confidence to explore new environments and ensure your child feels celebrated and supported all summer long!
