Pearce and Richardson high schools have been recognized for their outstanding work to welcome students into AP courses and support students on the path to college success.

The new College Board AP School Honor Roll is a prestigious annual recognition program that celebrates schools whose AP programs have met specific criteria for students in the most recent graduating class. Schools need have at least 40% of the graduating students to have taken at least one AP class during their high school career with at least one-quarter of those students scoring a 3 or higher on the AP test.

The College Board also measures the number of graduating seniors who took five or more AP tests during high school with at least one of those exams taken as a freshman or sophomore to indicate “students are spreading their AP experience across grades rather than feeling disproportionate pressure in any single year.”

Richardson earned the Silver level of distinction for the 2022-2023 school year, and Pearce earned the Bronze.

Congratulations to all the students, teachers, coaches and administrators! #RISDBelieves
