The Pearce High School Theatre production of Alice by Heart has been selected to be performed at the Texas Thespians State Festival this month.
This is awarded to only four shows across the entire state and marks Pearce Theatre’s fourth consecutive year being recognized as one of the top productions in Texas, and their seventh MainStage selection in the past twelve years—a true testament to the talent, dedication, and creativity of Pearce Theatre students.
A total of 32 students, including both cast and crew, will travel to the Texas Thespians Festival, where they will perform their show twice for a combined audience of more than 3,000 theatre students from across the state. In addition to performing, students will have the opportunity to participate in workshops and competitions designed to grow their skills and connect with peers who share their passion for the arts.
Pearce Theatre Director, Heather Biddle says, “Pearce Theatre extends heartfelt gratitude to the school’s supportive administration, led by Principal Carrie Breedlove, Fine Arts Principal Mr. LeAndre Benton, and Fine Arts Director Mr. Jeff Bradford, whose continuous encouragement and commitment make these achievements possible”.A special revival performance of Alice by Heart will be held at Pearce High School in November, prior to the state festival.
