A dozen RISD students recently completed a one-year internship through Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas as part of Project SEARCH, a national program that provides training and real-life work experience to students with disabilities.

This is the sixth year of the collaboration between RISD, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, the Texas Workforce Commission and Quest Employment Services that helps students embark on careers with relevant vocational skills.

Every one of this year’s graduates has found a job. Texas Health Dallas held a special graduation ceremony for the interns on May 11, at which they also received their high school diplomas.
