Registration Open for Semester 2 Accelerated Online HS Courses

This program provides students with an additional opportunity to obtain a 0.5 credit for Health, Government, or Economics or one credit for High School PE outside of the traditional school day, resulting in extra time during the academic year for other classes.


DATES
SPRING: Jan. 30 – MARCH 10

COURSES (STUDENTS MAY ONLY ENROLL IN ONE COURSE)

  • Economics (0.5 credit; Grades 9-12)
  • Government (0.5 credit; Grades 9-12)
  • Health (0.5 credit; Grades 9-12)
  • HS PE (1 credit; Grades 9-12) Student MUST have a smart watch or phone for this course.

ONLINE COURSE POLICIES & REQUIREMENTS

  • Students may only enroll in ONE course each semester.
  • Current RISD students enrolled in grades 9-12 grade during the 2022 – 2023 school year eligible for enrollment.
  • Courses WILL COUNT towards high school GPA for students currently enrolled in grades 9- 12.
  • Daily access to the internet and computers and smart phone device for PE.
  • Students may ONLY drop the class BEFORE taking the final exam. NO refunds.

  • Registration open Dec. 2 to Jan. 25
  • A limited number of spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.


COST

  • Full tuition paid at the time of registration.
  • Only credit cards and debit cards will be accepted.
  • NO Refunds.

  • $208 per session
  • $104 per session – students qualifying for reduced lunch
  • $26 per session – students qualifying for free lunch

  • High School PE
  • $416 per session – this is A YEAR CREDIT
  • $208 per session – students qualifying for reduced lunch
  • $52 per session – students qualifying for free lunch

COMMUNICATION

  • Parents and students will receive an email two days before the start of class.
  • Students will need to check their SCHOOL / g.risd.org email
