Richardson High School SPARK! PRISMATIC
A team of talented Richardson High School visual art students, Abigail Bedke, Lilah Levesque, August Mexico, and Eli Worley, created an immersive installation, Purple Quartz Cavern, that was selected for the 2025 SPARK! PRISMATIC: Fantastical Realms Art Pop-up Experience.

In partnership with SPARK! Dallas and Meow Wolf, these students created an imaginative installation that showcases their creativity, collaboration, and design skills. Under the guidance of their teacher, Christina Van Hamersveld, the RHS team’s work will be on display from May 31 to September 7 at SPARK! Dallas, inspiring the public with their artistic vision.

REGION 10 VASE Competition
The Junior VASE Platinum Medal is the highest recognition awarded by the Texas Art Education Association at the Junior Visual Art Scholastic Event and a number of RISD students earned recognition. This honor is reserved for a select number of student artworks that first earn a Rating IV– Superior at the regional level and then advance to a second round of adjudication. In this highly competitive process, jurors evaluate the top-rated pieces to identify those demonstrating exceptional creativity, originality, technical skill, and personal expression. Earning a Platinum Medal signifies that the student’s artwork stands among the best in the region, representing the pinnacle of middle school visual art achievement in Texas.
