Students Register To Vote

Texas state law mandates school districts provide opportunities for students who are at least 17 years and 10 months old, and meet other criteria, to register to vote.

National Voter Registration Day was Tuesday, and each RISD high school campus registered students to vote. Each campus has an assigned deputy registrar who has been trained in supervising the event on their campus. There will be two additional opportunities – one in December and one in May – to provide more students with the opportunity to register.
