Three places were up for re-election on the RISD Board of Trustees on May 3. Two of those places, single-member districts 2 and 5 had contested elections.
Per the Dallas County Elections website, results indicate that incumbents Vanessa Pacheco (District 2), Regina Harris (District 4), and Rachel McGowan (District 5) were re-elected to three-year terms.
Election results were canvassed at an RISD board meeting on May 13.
These assignments place experienced, student-centered leaders across the district’s Learning Communities to strengthen collaboration, support campuses, and advance the district’s North Star goal.

The Primary Runoff Election will occur on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Several Richardson ISD campuses will serve as vote centers.
