The annual RISD Spelling Bee among 40 students in grades fourth through eighth representing 40 district schools produced a winner from each learning community and one wildcard winner.

These five students then took an additional vocabulary test to determine which two would move on to the represent RISD at the Dallas County Public School Spelling Bee in March. Grace C. of Lake Highlands Elementary and Evan S. of North Junior High came out on top and will represent RISD at the county bee next month.

Congratulations to all the winners and best of luck to Grace and Evan in the next round! #RISDBeelieves
