Richardson ISD schools and offices will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 2, due to the ongoing inclement weather and hazardous travel conditions. Closure includes all games, activities, and events for Feb. 2, including xPlore after-school programs and evening fine arts and athletics events.
A decision and message regarding school on Friday will be made after evaluating campus and travel conditions overnight Thursday. RISD stakeholders can stay informed by monitoring RISD.org and district social media accounts. Any closure decision will be shared on those platforms and also sent directly to parents, staff and students, along with news media outlets.
Snow make-up day information will be shared in early spring once all 2022-23 snow days are known. Make-up information about school events and activities will be shared with parents and students by campus staff, as needed. Decisions about postponed district events will be shared when available.
