Some RISD schools may begin the day without power Tuesday, but will be open on a normal schedule. Campuses plan for this possibility, may serve backup meals, and extra staff will be present to assist as needed. Facilities staff are in contact with Oncor. The first day to file to be on the ballot is Jan. 14, and the deadline to file to be on the ballot is Feb. 13.
