Richardson ISD will offer summer meals for three weeks in June and again for three weeks in July at eight different campuses across the district.
All children age 18 and younger are eligible for these free meals made possible through a U.S. Department of Agriculture nutrition program and administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
“Richardson ISD children need good nutrition year-round so they can learn, grow and succeed in life,” RISD Executive Director of Child Nutrition Alissa Gustof said. “With nearly 2 million food insecure children living in Texas, these healthy meals are vital to nourishing young Texans during the summer vacation.”
The RISD campuses where these meals will be available include Berkner STEM Academy High School, Big Springs Elementary, Forest Lane Academy, Prestonwood Elementary, Richland Elementary, Richardson Heights Elementary, RISD Academy and White Rock Elementary.
