The mission of RISD summer school programming is to serve our students and community through engaging experiences that inspire and enrich the whole child.

Students are encouraged to be active learners during the summer. RISD summer programs offer a variety of opportunities to support student literacy and gain hands-on experience in various areas. In addition, these programs will allow students to explore their interests and gain valuable experience to add to their resumes.

RISD provides students with opportunities to explore learning experiences that promote academic growth through asynchronous, self-paced summer courses at home with Acceleration Courses. These courses are designed for students seeking to accelerate their credit requirements for graduation. Registration for acceleration courses is open through May 5 and is available via SchoolPay.com. A limited number of spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Full tuition must be paid at the time of registration.
