Gather, Grow, and Gobble: Engaging Activities for Thanksgiving Break

As we approach the Thanksgiving break, we wish you and your family a safe and restful week. To encourage continued engagement with learning during this time, we are sending home a list of simple, fun suggestions for activities and things to do during the break. We thank you for your partnership and look forward to welcoming students back refreshed and ready to finish 2025 strong!

K-8 Activities

Science is All Around!

The holiday break is the perfect time to get outside and explore science! Here are some local parks and preserves worth a visit:

9-12 Activities

  • TSIA Prep
    By using IXL over the break, students will be automatically entered into their Campus and District IXL Leaderboard Competition. The campus with the highest usage will receive the Traveling Trophy and will be featured on the District’s social media.

Don’t Forget to Read!

Read at least 20 minutes each day

  • Read eBooks in Sora
  • Go to Classlink and read some Nat Geo Magazines, PebbleGO articles, or watch cool videos in Discovery Education
