At the Oct. 12 board meeting, RISD trustees adopted the 2023-24 District Improvement Plan that Superintendent Branum explained aligns and supports the annual continuous improvement process for the district. The district’s North Star Goal of every student, teacher, and leader meeting or exceeding their academic growth goals, trustee goals for student performance, and elements of the recently completed 2023-28 strategic planning process are included in the plan.

In addition, the District Improvement Plan was developed using results of the previous plan, state accountability performance and MAP scores, committee feedback, and staff, student, and community survey results.

Trustees also adopted the Campus Improvement Plans for 2023-24 that will become the guiding documents that principals and campus staff will use daily to ensure each school is working toward district and campus goals.
