Mary Altman is a sixth-grade math teacher at Prestonwood Elementary School. Over her eight years in RISD, she has fostered a safe learning environment where students aren’t afraid to take risks and grow from their mistakes. As a member of her school’s event planning committee and co-sponsor of their broadcasting team, Mary works to improve the lives of students and staff alike.
