The 2023 Backpack Bash has come and gone! The annual event is just one of the myriad opportunities for the entire RISD community to come together to support students. This year, more than 3,000 students received backpacks and supply kits to be better equipped to start the new year.

The RISD Dyslexia Training Center has been formally accredited by both the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC) and The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) – one of just five ISDs in Texas and the country.
RISD provides students and parents or guardians the opportunity to purchase insurance for Chromebooks owned by the school district and assigned to a student for use at school and home.
RISD has $25 million left to issue from the voter-approved Bond 2021.
