The 2023 Backpack Bash has come and gone! The annual event is just one of the myriad opportunities for the entire RISD community to come together to support students. This year, more than 3,000 students received backpacks and supply kits to be better equipped to start the new year.

The 2026-27 school year is right around the corner, and this year’s Backpack Bash is coming to a campus near you in August 2026.
Through meaningful partnerships with businesses and organizations, we can expand opportunities, experiences, and support for our students, staff, and families.
These assignments place experienced, student-centered leaders across the district’s Learning Communities to strengthen collaboration, support campuses, and advance the district’s North Star goal.
