Redistricting Feedback Welcome Through Dec. 10

RISD logo

As a requirement stemming from 2020 Census results, the Board of Trustees must balance the populations of the five RISD Trustee Single-Member Districts, which will require a change to some existing Single Member District boundaries. Trustees began this redistricting process in September, and three proposed maps have been generated for stakeholders to review.

Please visit the redistricting page of the Board of Trustees website to view the three proposed options and provide feedback. The changes do not affect school attendance boundaries. The redistricting only applies to the boundaries of RISD’s single-member trustee districts.

The RISD board held a public hearing on Nov. 8. Public feedback about the changes is welcomed through Dec. 10 either electronically by sending an email to redistricting@risd.org or in person at the RISD Administration Building at 400 S. Greenville Ave., where posters of the proposed maps are in the auditorium foyer.
