Class of 2022 AVID Students Earn Over $10 Million in Scholarships

AVID

Richardson ISD AVID students in the Class of 2022 earned more than $10 million in college scholarships, including seven RISD seniors who were named Dell Scholars.

Richardson High School and Berkner High School have become centers of AVID teaching and learning since RISD began offering the Advancement Via Individual Determination system in 2003. Both campuses are National Demonstration Schools that serve as models for other districts around the U.S. interested in learning about the AVID College Readiness System.

Berkner and RHS clearly demonstrate the ongoing pursuit of excellence to ensure college readiness for AVID students with improved academic performance for all students on the campus due to this more equitable, student-centered approach to learning. #RISDGreatness
