Week One Football Start Times Impacted by Heat

Based on the ongoing forecast of extreme heat, the starting times of this week’s RISD varsity and sub-varsity football home games have been moved back. Spectators and community members are encouraged to double check start times through RISD’s athletics schedule page before heading to the stadium. Hydration stations have been set up inside RISD stadiums for spectators.

Updated Varsity Kickoffs

Thursday, Aug. 24

  • Lake Highlands vs Mesquite Poteet at Wildcat-Ram Stadium 7:30 p.m.
  • Richardson vs Frisco Centennial at Toyota Stadium 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 25

  • Berkner vs Wylie East at Wylie Stadium 7:30 p.m.
  • Pearce vs Wylie at Eagle-Mustang Stadium 7:30 p.m.

Start times for Week 2 games will be evaluated early next week based on the forecast. Learn more about RISD’s stadium expectations and policies here.

Until further notice, RISD will provide hydration stations for spectators at varsity home football games at Eagle-Mustang and Wildcat-Ram stadiums. While outside food or drink is not permitted at events, spectators will be permitted to bring a clear, empty plastic bottle to refill at hydration stations at no cost.
