This week is National STEM Week, and RISD is encouraging teachers and students to collaborate, innovate, and communicate about how to become better global citizens who know what opportunities and skills are needed to solve the problems RISD students are passionate about. #RISDSTEMweek21

  • Motion Monday, Nov. 8. Wear your favorite sports team apparel. Collaborators: It’s time for STEM in the gym. Have a great day exploring STEM careers and writing about STEM in sports.
  • Technique Tuesday, Nov. 9. Come to school in tie-dye or athleisure wear. Innovators: You have to walk before you can run. Create a list of activities and skills that you need to follow your dream.
  • Workforce Wednesday, Nov. 10. Dress for your dream career. Self-Efficacy: Research career opportunities and skills you need to solve the problems you’re passionate about.
  • Throwback Thursday, Nov. 11. Come to school reppin’ another decade. Communicators: Discuss STEM advancements or inventions that occurred in the decade you’re representing and why it’s important.
  • Future Friday, Nov. 12. Wear your favorite college shirt or colors. Global Citizens: Identify five colleges that are known for majors that focus on utilizing STEM skills and celebrating diversity.
