Thurgood Marshall Elementary Celebrating Black History Month

Each Friday in February, the RISD Department of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion plans to release a video that highlights the daily Black History Month activities happening at Thurgood Marshall Elementary to honor the life of the pioneering civil rights lawyer and Supreme Court Justice for whom the campus is named.

The “Freedom Friday with Thurgood Marshall” series will chronicle how these RISD students and staff members honor his life with intentional and purposeful activities to celebrate Black history each day.
