In late April, Pearce senior Preston Stout made eagle on the 18th hole to win the UIL regional golf tournament. Stout, an Oklahoma State pledge who is nationally ranked, finished at 10-under. Pearce’s Ben Gregg, who plans to continue his academic and athletic careers at Texas Tech, shot a 69 to finish third in regionals at 5-under par. Pearce junior Timothy Egnatis shot at 73 to finish in the top 20.

The Pearce team finished second overall to advance to the state tournament at Legacy Hills Golf Club in Georgetown later in May. It’s the second time in three years that the Mustangs are in the state tournament. Go, Mustangs! #RISDBelieves
